ISLAMABAD: Member nations of the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) have lauded Pakistan for acting as a stabilising force in South Asia and for its efforts to promote regional peace in the region.
The OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) concluded its 48th session with the Islamabad Declaration, which stated the members’ commitment to pursuing a shared global vision for peace, security, development, and human rights based on a faithful commitment to universal principles of equity and justice, sovereign equality, territorial integrity, and non-interference in countries’ internal affairs.
Meanwhile, the OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir has issued a comprehensive joint statement, which includes a Kashmir action plan, to consider increased coordination between the two sides.
